Ridgmont Chinese Evening
   
The fourth hugely successful Chinese New Year Banquet was held at Ridgmont House on Friday February 20th at which around 100 people celebrated the Chinese year of the "Sheep".
The evening was attended by members and their families and friends; everyone enjoyed the Chinese atmosphere created by W.Bro. Peter Schofield and other members of Ridgmont Lodge of Mark Master Masons together with the staff at Ridgmont House.
After a warming and tasty choice of traditional Chinese soup, scrumptious appetizers' were served.
The main course was a buffet style help yourself to two selections of Rice and four different Chinese dishes.
 
To assist digestion a light Asian Fruit Salad sweet was served followed by Coffee and Fortune Cookies.
 
Before rounding off the evening a raffle was held which raised over £250.00
 
In closing the evenings celebration W.Bro.John Dawber thanked everyone for attending and supporting the evening, particular thanks were directed towards the staff at Ridgmont House, but primarily to W.Bro. Peter Schofield, these remarks were greeted with spontaneous applause.
 
Peter and his wife Kath are now starting planning the 2016 Chinese New Year Banquet, but rumour has it that in the Autumn of 2015 a night of International Cuisine is being organised by Peter Schofield, Watch this Space!!
